Meet the presenters
Gregory Smith, Vice President of Strategic Accounts & Partnerships
Greg has over thirty years of leadership experience in Electrical Distribution, as CEO or Senior Vice President. His responsibilities spanned Mergers & Acquisition, Sales & Marketing, brand management, corporate sponsorships, strategic pricing, vendor relations, contracts, rebates, and E-commerce strategies. Greg’s entrepreneurial spirit drove him to start and successfully run four different companies over the last thirty-five years.
Greg has appeared in an array of articles over the years about the electrical industry, especially around e-commerce, data analytics, and optimized pricing and the impact to margins. He sat on IMARK’s marketing committee for years, as well as holding a position on NAED Eastern Regional council and the NAED Board of Directors for several years.
Greg is past chairman of the board of directors of South Western Vermont Medical, Chamber of Commerce, and Bennington Rotary Club. He has also done volunteer work for the United Way, and actively participated by traveling to Haiti after the devastating earthquake to help build the Be Like Brit orphanage in Haiti.
Murthy Vanapalli, Vice President of Business Solutions
Murthy Vanapalli leads the architecture, development and operation of the company’s infrastructure, platforms, services and applications.
He is passionate about bringing human-centered solutions to drive organizational change. Murthy is a bridge builder, collaborator and future vision thinker that likes to imagine the future of products & solutions with solid grounds on what is technically feasible and financially viable today with an eye for what can be possible tomorrow.
Murthy has led cross-functional, high-performance teams in developing and implementing enterprise-scale, multi-tenant cloud solutions to address challenges in B2B/B2C Pricing, Predictive Analytics, Sales Effectiveness, Inventory Management, Real Estate Site Selection, Finance & Operations.
Prior to joining SPARXiQ, Murthy has held various roles at W.W.Grainger, IBM, Movie Gallery & Steel Authority of India Limited.
